Samaritan Overview
What started out as a few good people assisting fellow parishioners in need, has grown into an organized outreach group called “The Samaritans.”
The Samaritans are an integral part of Resurrection Parish; a community of giving, caring and unselfish people working in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to follow his command to love one another.
Through generous donations of time, food, clothing, gifts and financial assistance from our parishioners, the Samaritans have been able to expand their outreach to numerous non-profit agencies throughout Northern New Jersey and beyond.
Time and time again our parish has answered the Lord’s call to help those in need.
How You Can Help
· Volunteers are always welcome for our various programs and events. No amount of time is too little.
· Contributions, as requested in the “Samaritan News” section of the Church Bulletin of food, paper products and other items are always welcome and can be dropped off in the Samaritan basket in the Church downstairs lobby.
· Financial contributions are always welcome and can be made specifically to the “Samaritans of Resurrection Parish” and placed in the Samaritan collection bins located in the upper & lower lobbies.
The generosity of our parishioners to our Annual Baby Shower on June 12th & 13th 2010 yielded:

The organizations we are supporting this year include, Birth Haven, Birth Right, Gateway Northwest, Head Start, Hope House & North Porch.
