Dear Parents of Grade 5 Children:

Welcome Back to Children’s Ministry!  Please note we will be having a Parent Meeting on Tuesday, September 28 from 7:30-9:00 pm.  At that time, we will discuss the religious education program and answer questions.    We kindly ask you please make every effort to attend this important and informative meeting. 

If you are not new to our program but still want to learn more about it, you are most welcome to attend.  However, this meeting is optional for our "seasoned" families who have already had their child enrolled and participating in our program in the past. 

Our fifth grade religious education workshops take place once a month on a Tuesday.  The hours are:  Drop off ~ 4:20pm; Pick up ~6:05pm.   Our first workshop is September 14. At this time, please bring your 5th grader to the Ministry Center in the lower gathering space of the church at 4:20 pm.   You will be given your child's group assignment and workbook. 

We kindly ask you bring a 1 pound bag of rice to donate to our Good Samaritan basket on our first workshop day as part of our service outreach.  You may consider taking your child shopping for the item so he/she can be part of the giving process. 

I have attached a calendar of dates for the entire school year for your reference.  A copy of this document can also be downloaded from our parish website.  For your additional convenience, pulpit announcements are made regularly at our Sunday Masses and are also posted in our parish bulletin. 

We look forward to seeing your child soon.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me.  The Children's Ministry Office is closed for the summer and will re-open September 1.  I do however check messages periodically if you would like to call or email before then.
