September

Every one of us is called to be a disciple of Jesus and join in the Tradition of the Church. Young people will learn that Jesus has a challenging message for his disciples, and that message has continued to be communicated through the whole community of disciple, Church leaders, the Scriptures, and official Church teachings.

October:

The Catholic Church is universal, reaching out to all people in every age. This session helps young people understand how they can evangelize within their own community and how they can support missionaries who spread the Word of God throughout the world.

November

Young people will learn the importance of using their personal gifts for the good of the Church and to help others learn about Jesus. They will also recognize the mandate to be Christ’s hands, feet, and voice in the world today.

December

Jesus is our Savior. He died for our sins and rose to new life so that we may share in his divinity. This session helps young people understand the importance of salvation and the role of the Church to whom God has entrusted the fullness of truth.

January

The Church was begun by Jesus who chose Peter and the Apostles to carry on his mission on earth. This session helps young people understand the importance of apostolic succession and the role of the clergy within the Catholic Church.

February

All baptized Catholics are called to share in Jesus’ roles of priest, prophet, and king. This session helps young people understand the importance of liming the faith and being a part of a parish community.

March

Who Am I? Discovering My True Identity

This session asks some basic, but critically important, questions about the students’ identities and what it means to be a human person. It explores the basic nature of growing up, maturing, making decisions, and finding happiness. They will learn more about true freedom and how Jesus’ Incarnation reveals truth about their own lives.

April

Our Story—God’s Plan, Human Sin, Jesus’ Love

In the session, the students will explore how God’s original plan for us was a pure and perfect relationship and understand original sin as a lost inheritance. They will also reflect on the hope that Jesus brings us to heal the brokenness and divisions we experience.

May

Me, Myself, and I – Body and Soul

The students will reflect on the human person as a body-soul composite as well as the spiritual and emotional issues related to the body. These ideas will be connected to the meaning of Jesus’ being fully God and fully human to help recognize Christ as the key to understanding our humanity. 

June

How Should I Act?

This session focuses on virtue and vice and the relationship between actions and the formation of character, including the need for grace and the need for consistency in the practice of virtue.
