Dear Parents,
I am writing this letter to inform you of registration procedure for the 2009-10 Religious Education year. Attached is the registration form for your completion. You may complete the form on line; however, the completed form cannot be emailed. It must be printed and returned with the appropriate fee.
The Religious Education Coordinators will be present for in-house registration to collect completed forms and fees on Sunday, May 31 after the 9:00 am, 10:30 am and 12:15 pm Masses. Any questions you may have can be addressed at that time.
- Kindergarten fee: $35 per child
- Grades 1 – 10 fee: $75 per child
- Grade 11 fee: $35 per child
- Fees are not to exceed a total of $225 per family
Before filling out the form we ask that you carefully read and then pledge your full support to the three statements that are listed below. These establish a partnership between family and parish community for the sake of the faith development of the children God has entrusted to us.
- Our children learn faith from the faith-filled adults in their lives. Your attendance at the Eucharist weekly is most necessary in addition to the daily faith practices that are part of your family living. This establishes a true context for faith development.
- Your participation in our programs is essential. Your time, talent and support of our programs will enrich them immensely. Your children will know that religious education is important when they see you volunteer and invest your time and talent in some aspect of the program. Your attendance at the family sessions is required.
- Your sacrificial offering by use of the church envelopes or ParishPay is crucial to the health of our parish community. The cost of our religious education is $160,000 for this present year: including salaries, supplies and events of the programs and facility usage. This amount is covered by your weekly/monthly church offerings and registration fee. Since most of the $160,000 is paid for through your sacrificial giving through the weekly envelop or ParishPay, it is imperative that every family do their just part. If there is a difficulty please call Fr. John Andrew or the Religious Education Coordinator to discuss this matter. With everyone doing their part, our programs will prosper and be effective in nurturing the growth in faith of our young people.
