MINISTRY TO THE BEREAVED
Our Mission is to reach out to the Bereaved of our Parish; assist them in the Funeral Mass or Memorial Mass preparation; and to follow up with calls and visits following the funeral.
The Resurrection Bereavement Support Group meets one Sunday a month at 11:30 in the Resource room. The meeting runs about 1 ½ hrs. Refreshments are available. This is a safe and confidential environment in which to share your grief and help others by listening to them. We support one another by our understanding and compassion. The death of a loved one changes everything in our lives. Receiving help from others to navigate through the myriad of emotions that you are experiencing is one way to begin to heal.
Our Memorial Mass is November 2nd of each year at 7:30 PM. Letters will go out with more details in October. This Liturgy is a beautiful way to remember and honor our loved ones who have died. Of those buried from our Church, the Crosses will be returned to you. All family loved ones’ names that have been given to us will be remembered in a Roll Call of names at the beginning of the Liturgy. If you don’t receive a letter, please call the Pastoral Care phone number with the names of your loved ones, so they can be included.
